Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods of time
  • must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs
  • must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • must have the legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • must adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
  • must have good communication skills
  • must be a team player

Job Qualifications

  • Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment
  • strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools

Job Duties

  • Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays in a fast and efficient manner
  • ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before putting them away on dish racks
  • maintain the dishwasher area to make sure it is clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance
  • mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways, remove trash at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation
  • sanitize work areas and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations
  • follow all safety procedures
  • assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks
  • remove trash, safely operate a trash compactor and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area
  • collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively
  • other duties as assigned
