Job Qualifications

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- One or more years of experience in food service management, hospitality management, customer service, or related field preferred
- Working knowledge of sanitation procedures preferred
Job Duties
- Provide the highest quality of service at all times
- Ensure preparation stations and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized
- Comply with sanitation and safety standards within Food Services and ensure all personnel follow safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware by cleaning and restocking areas and cook stations
- Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen
- Clean food prep stations and sanitize
- Sweep and mop floors, especially in the event that items have broken or spilled
- Take out the trash and rinse garbage cans
- Assist with other cleaning and sanitization needs as requested
- Maintain excellent oral and written communication skills
- Deliver excellent internal and external facing customer service
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Work and contribute in a team environment

- Work the designated schedule
- Be available to work nights and/or weekends
- Work overtime as needed
- Lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 20 percent of a typical working day
- Work seated for approximately 10 percent of a typical working day
- Work standing for approximately 90 percent of a typical working day
- Work on mobile devices, tablets, or computer screens and perform typing for approximately 5 percent of a typical working day
- Perform manual tasks such as grasping, pinching, turning with hand/arm, and reaching above shoulder height
- Work simultaneously on a computer and phone
- Travel between Madison locations as required
