Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- U.S. Work Authorization required
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift and carry heavy items
- reliable and punctual
- good communication skills
- willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not mandatory
- ability to follow safety protocols including safe knife handling
- ability to work efficiently under pressure
- teamwork and communication skills
- willingness to learn new tasks and adapt
- able to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment
- basic knowledge of kitchen operations
Job Duties
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes in a timely fashion as they enter the dish room
- soak and scrub dishes that require heavy cleaning
- remain focused on designated tasks during prime service hours
- assist other stations with prepping and getting ready when your station is ready
- keep your workstation clean and organized
- practice safe knife handling and seek training if needed
- scrape, sort, and load dishwasher
- return all cleaned dishes, glassware, etc. to proper location
- perform basic preventative maintenance of dishwashing equipment and communicate issues to Sous Chef and Executive Chef
- perform trash removal as needed
- perform other food preparation duties as determined by Sous or Executive Chef
- open and close the kitchen properly following checklists
- assist others in closing the kitchen
- maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive guest experience
