Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous porter and/or dishwasher experience preferred
  • Ability to write and verbally communicate
  • Ability to move quickly and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to push and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work irregular shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle fast-paced, busy, and stressful environments
  • Must maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance
  • Effective team player with professional and courteous interaction skills
  • Compliance with Department of Health sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Previous porter and/or dishwasher experience preferred
  • Ability to write and verbally communicate
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environments
  • Understand and comply with sanitation and safety protocols
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Effective team player with courteous communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform opening/closing duties
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and venue layout

Job Duties

  • Anticipate and accommodate the needs of all employees
  • Aid in cleaning inside and outside the venue
  • Properly store and remove garbage and soiled linens
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dish station, kitchen, and entire venue
  • Follow supervisor’s instructions and communicate with co-workers while being a team player
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the dish machine
  • Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies properly
  • Understand the general layout and functioning of the venue
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
  • Communicate product needs to chefs and/or purchaser
  • Set up dish station and perform opening/closing procedures
  • Stock stations with prescribed supplies
  • Maintain and clean kitchen equipment
  • Wipe down and sanitize stations
  • Perform opening and closing side-work as prescribed
  • Report all breakage and damage to management immediately
  • Attend daily pre-service meetings and training sessions
  • Learn by listening and observing others while sharing knowledge
  • Portray a positive and professional attitude
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality and its partners
  • Work as part of a team providing help and support
  • Assist or complete additional tasks as assigned
