Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Holds current State of Washington Food Handler's permit
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Prior experience in food service or dishwashing preferred
- Ability to work full-time or part-time as needed
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Willingness to be cross-trained and perform varied kitchen duties
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English with residents, staff and managers
- Familiarity with safe food handling practices and regulations
- Holds current State of Washington Food Handler's permit
- Demonstrates patience and a genuine caring attitude toward the elderly and disabled persons
- Exhibits flexibility and a positive outlook
- Ability to focus on the strengths of other people
- Maintains a healthy sense of humor
Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, cups, glasses, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, equipment, and work areas
- Specialize in washing dishes, pots and pans, or cleaning work areas as assigned
- Cross-train to perform duties across all three specialty areas
- Assist with other Food Service tasks as requested
- Follow safe food handling practices and comply with health regulations
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and managers
- Support a clean and sanitary kitchen environment conducive to resident safety
