Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to obtain San Diego County Food Handler certification
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Compliance with California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
Job Qualifications
- At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training
- Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required
- Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs
Job Duties
- Ensures an environment as free of contamination as possible with the concern for the health and welfare of our clientele and associates
- Cleans floors and walls of the kitchens and back-of-house Food & Beverage areas
- Cleans and sanitizes all work surfaces
- Places all soiled dishes, pots, and pans in the dishwashing area
- Washes and wipes ovens and stovetops
- Stocks cook lines with clean plates
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team
