Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in warm and cold climates including kitchen and cooler areas
- Willingness to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use hands for various tasks including handling and feeling
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching required
- Ability to walk approximately one-fourth of a mile multiple times per day
- Must have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat in the work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen support roles is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in food service
- Capability to follow instructions and operate dishwashing machinery
- Good physical stamina and mobility
Job Duties
- Support operation by cleaning dishes, glassware, pots, pans, silverware, and racks as requested by food service and culinary staff
- Hand wash kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans not suitable for machine washing
- Fill and empty soak tubs with appropriate cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- Sort and rinse dirty items and carefully place into racks for dish machines
- Set up, break down, clean and polish dish machines including arms, screens, and baskets
- Change dishwater hourly and monitor dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles meet safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dishwashing area
