Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in warm and cold climates including kitchen and cooler areas
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to use hands for various tasks including handling and feeling
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching required
  • Ability to walk approximately one-fourth of a mile multiple times per day
  • Must have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat in the work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen support roles is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in food service
  • Capability to follow instructions and operate dishwashing machinery
  • Good physical stamina and mobility

Job Duties

  • Support operation by cleaning dishes, glassware, pots, pans, silverware, and racks as requested by food service and culinary staff
  • Hand wash kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans not suitable for machine washing
  • Fill and empty soak tubs with appropriate cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Sort and rinse dirty items and carefully place into racks for dish machines
  • Set up, break down, clean and polish dish machines including arms, screens, and baskets
  • Change dishwater hourly and monitor dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles meet safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dishwashing area
