Job Requirements

Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Prior dishwashing experience in a restaurant environment preferred
Ability to read and/or understand labels on chemicals
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public
Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative

Job Duties

Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dish machine
Sorts and stacks clean dishes
Carries clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas
Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering
Changes dishwater in dish machine on routine basis
Washes pots, pans and trays by hand
Removes trash and garbage to dumpster
Sets up and breaks down dishwashing area
Performs other duties related to cleanliness of kitchen as assigned
Prepares food according to standardized recipes and assist in private events on and off site
Ensures compliance with applicable Health Department codes
