Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Must be able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Must stand for long periods of time and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform physical activities that require moderate strength including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials
- Ability to perform tasks safely in a wet environment
- Ability to exert mobility up to four hours in length
- Ability to lift pots, pans, and other items up to 40 pounds
- Finger dexterity to use small tools adeptly
- Ability to follow instructions carefully
- Communicate professionally with guests, coworkers and management
- Ability to understand instructions and read company memorandums
- Ability to adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers
- Ability to recognize and resolve problems using good judgment and initiative
- Understand the value and priority of tasks to maintain quality
- Ability to learn and operate commercial dishwashing equipment
Job Duties
- Clean all dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, serving items and equipment as per the approved sanitation and food safe guidelines
- Operate the dishwasher and check all items for cleanliness
- Store all clean dishes in the appropriate areas
- Maintain all dishwashing and other cleaning equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe environment around the dishwashing area
- Load or unload food and supplies
- Clean the garbage area and sort and remove trash
- Assist with food preparation when required
- Prepare trays and banquet accessories
- Sweep and mop floors
