Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to communicate in English
- Must pass drug and alcohol test where applicable
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen cleaning roles preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well within a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Understanding of proper cleaning techniques and use of chemicals
Job Duties
- Wash, sanitize and dry items placed in the dish area or as requested by management or staff
- Safely wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils and equipment
- Ensure the cleanliness of all items washed and sanitized in the dish room
- Follow proper dishwashing sequence, according to restaurant specifications
- Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back up of dirty dishes, glasses, etc.
- Read a thermometer, maintain dishwashing machinery and identify potential problem areas
- Safely and efficiently operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies
