Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state
- Ability to work full time day shift
- Capability to perform physical duties involved in kitchen sanitation
- Commitment to adhere to safety and sanitation protocols

- Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
- Capacity to deliver trays with attention to accuracy and confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills to maintain dishroom logs and monitor equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards
- Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization
- Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies
- Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment
- Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures
- Monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
