Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Willingness to work in various departments including Deli, Meat & Seafood, Bakery, Grocery, Produce & Floral, and Front-End
- Capability to perform repetitive hand/arm movements, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to varying temperatures
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, ladders, step stools, box cutters, and pallet jacks (if over 18)
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods without breaks
- Required to wear approved hats, hair nets, beard guards, and other personal protective equipment
- Must comply with company safety and sanitation procedures
Job Qualifications
- A passion for providing extraordinary service
- Must be at least 18 years old, except in certain states where the minimum age is 19
- Excellent and collaborative communication skills
- Preferred high school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred experience in retail, hospitality, or restaurant industries
Job Duties
- Consistently provide excellent guest service by engaging with guests to understand their needs and assist with meal solutions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and weekly ad items across the store
- Inspect products for proper rotation, cleanliness, and sanitation to ensure high quality and safety standards
- Manage prepared food stations including chopped and grain bowls, customized hot pizzas, sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, beer, wine, and prepared salads
- Set up and break down front-line service areas daily
- Receive, stock, and merchandise products according to company standards
- Follow all The Fresh Market policies, standards, and protocols while maintaining professional appearance and uniform standards
