Job Duties
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing machine or by hand as required
- Polish all silverware, platters, and chafing dishes as necessary
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam
- Clean and maintain dishwashing machine daily
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition
- Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in the appropriate storage areas
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Examine garbage for mistakenly dropped silverware, dishes, glassware, etc.
- Sweep and scrub floors
- Put produce deliveries away in the proper locations, label, and rotate produce (first in first out)
- Meet dress and grooming standards by maintaining a professional appearance
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area to prevent food borne illness
