Job Requirements
- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older
- No prior experience necessary as training is provided
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Available to work 32-40 hours per week primarily Monday to Friday
- Must obtain a food handler's permit once hired
- Must be able to work Saturdays and additional hours during holidays when needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in bakery or restaurant kitchen is a plus
- Ability to obtain a food handler's permit
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Job Duties
- Manually wash, rinse and sanitize all baking pans, dishes, utensils and other tools in a timely manner using a three-compartment sink
- Monitor sanitization levels to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
- Gather and remove garbage, sweep and mop floors, and clean floor drains at the end of every shift
- Perform routine cleaning of bakery areas including refrigerator, chiller, break area, dish pit area, oven, and bathroom
- Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized workstation and prepare cleaning supplies for shifts
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management for replenishment
- Assist in unloading, processing, and storage of weekly supply deliveries
- Support other team members in cleaning and organizing workstations
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and company policies including personal hygiene
- Assist the baking team as needed
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality records
