Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- previous dishwashing or commercial kitchen experience preferred
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to stand for long periods
- must hold or obtain Alaska Food Handler Card within 30 days
- legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required
- previous dishwashing or commercial kitchen experience preferred but not required
- strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for full shifts (up to 8 hours)
- must hold or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
- must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using both manual and mechanical cleaning methods
- maintain the dishwashing area in a clean, organized, and sanitary condition at all times
- properly handle and store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- routinely clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors to uphold health and sanitation standards
- safely dispose of trash, recycling, and food waste, transporting items to designated dumpster areas
- check and maintain dish machine chemicals and water temperatures, reporting any malfunctions to a supervisor
- support kitchen operations by restocking stations and assisting cooks as needed
- promote and uphold a strong culture of safety and teamwork, including food safety and employee well-being
