Job Requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
- time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- must obtain a valid Food Handler's Permit/State Food Worker Card prior to the first day of work (per state law)
- regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and reach during entire shift
- frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- work is performed in a commercial kitchen environment with exposure to hot surfaces, wet floors, cleaning chemicals, and sharp utensils
- personal protective equipment such as gloves, non-slip footwear, and safety aprons must be used as required

- Previous work experience in food service, hospitality, or a related environment preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Collect used kitchenware, utensils, and dishes from dining and kitchen areas
- load, operate, and unload dishwashing machines safely and efficiently
- wash large or delicate items by hand as needed (e.g., rice pots, oversized cookware, specialty glassware)
- ensure clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly sanitized, organized, and stocked
- maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and promptly notify a supervisor when stock is low
- inspect and report any issues with dishwashing equipment or kitchen sanitation concerns
- remove garbage, recyclables, and compost in accordance with company procedures and OSHA standards
- clean and sanitize designated kitchen areas, storage spaces, and restrooms as assigned
- follow all food safety, health, and sanitation procedures including proper chemical handling, labeling, and PPE use
- uphold company values teamwork, integrity, and respect while supporting a safe and inclusive workplace
