Job Requirements

Must be available to work scheduled shifts including evenings and weekends
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Ability to team lift over 100 lbs
Ability to climb step stools and ladders
Ability to use hands and feet to operate machinery
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Maintain up to date food handlers permit and SNAP training
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Flexibility to adapt to new tasks and cooperative needs

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous food service, dishwashing, or cleaning experience preferred
Strong interest in natural and organic foods
Knowledge of cooperative business structure preferred
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Experience working with the public
Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled

Job Duties

Understand and support cooperative principles and values
Reinforce Good Foods Co-op's end goals and vision of success
Perform all dishwashing duties including cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, pans, floors, and trash/recycling
Maintain sanitation in kitchen and food preparation areas
Follow safety, sanitation, and security procedures according to local health standards
Respond to customer requests following department and store guidelines
Alert manager of equipment repair and replacement needs
