Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment preferred
- Physical strength and stamina to handle high activity level
- Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 100 lbs
- Ability to lift and move goods up to 100 lbs using hand carts or trucks
- Ability to perform constant twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and seeing
- Willingness to adhere to all safety and security procedures
- Ability to maintain a neat and clean personal appearance
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- Knowledge of service ware and its maintenance to enhance guest experience
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen dish machine per hotel and health standards
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling for safe application
- Understanding of departmental fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Ability to use kitchen equipment with manual dexterity
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Duties
- Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware to put through dish or pot machine properly
- Quickly wash all ware and replace in designated storage areas
- Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards
- Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- Clean and dry floors to prevent slip and fall accidents
- Separate linen from other debris
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures and rules
- Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report unsafe conditions to management
- Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
- Provide a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Perform any related duties as requested by management
- Assist other kitchen personnel when needed
