Job Requirements
- Prior dishwashing experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work full time schedule including evening and night shifts
- Willingness to undergo training
- Must be able to adhere to safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and moving supplies
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in dishwashing or food service is preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and nights
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in kitchen environments
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, and trays
- Polishes silverware using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards
- Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure safety and sanitation
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Helps load and unload supplies and product
- Performs other duties as assigned
