Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 17 or older
  • flexible schedule to work late shifts, weekends, or holidays
  • food handler certificate
  • ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
  • physical ability to stand for 10-12 hours per day
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • adherence to safety and sanitation policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • food handler certificate
  • ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish
  • prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is a plus
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to handle up to 50 pounds
  • basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety practices

Job Duties

  • Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed
  • keeps dish area free of clutter and organized
  • sets up dish stations including dish machines and sinks
  • maintains clean and dry floors throughout the shift
  • properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers
  • changes water of machines and sinks every two hours or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions
  • maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans, boxes and rinses garbage cans at the end of each shift
  • maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves
  • follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties
  • assists other duties set forth or as needed
  • attends and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required
