Job Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain a current Food Handlers Permit
  • regular timely attendance
  • ability to wear proper uniform as per policy
  • ability to wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes and cookware using manual and commercial dishwasher methods
  • capacity to scrape and rinse dishes prior to washing
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in dish area
  • ability to sanitize kitchen floors, tables, and work areas
  • ability to clean and sanitize refrigerators and freezers
  • unload and store food deliveries
  • report issues with equipment, safety, or sanitation to management

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior dishwashing experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
  • strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Obtain and maintain a current Food Handlers Permit
  • regular timely attendance is required
  • must be able to wear the proper uniform as policy describes throughout entire shift
  • washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware manually and using a commercial dishwasher
  • loading and unloading dishwashers ensuring proper placement of items
  • scraping and rinsing dishes before washing
  • maintaining a clean and organized dish area
  • cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen including floors, tables, and work surfaces
  • cleaning and sanitizing storage areas including refrigerators and freezers
  • unloading and storing food deliveries
  • reporting any issues with equipment, safety, or sanitation to management
  • performing opening, ongoing, and closing procedures
  • any other tasks assigned by the Manager on duty
