The role of General Utility / Dishwasher at Thrive Restaurant Group involves a crucial support position within the kitchen team. This role is designed for individuals eager to make a difference by providing coordination and helpful service, ensuring that kitchen work areas, equipment, plates, and utensils remain clean, sanitary, and orderly. The position offers a unique opportunity to be cross-trained across various kitchen departments, contributing to food preparation tasks and learning the ins and outs of kitchen operations. The General Utility / Dishwasher position includes maintaining cleanliness by scrapping and pre-rinsing dishes, washing pots and pans by hand or machine, completing prep work, and handling trash disposal. Additional duties include cleaning various surfaces such as work tables, walls, and kitchen equipment, as well as assembling, maintaining, and breaking down dishwashing machines. Safety and physical demands are a part of the job, including working indoors predominantly but also outdoors occasionally, operating in hot and damp environments, and the ability to lift and transport heavy items. Job Duties

  • Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in dishwashing machine
  • washes pots, pans, and trays by hand and/or machine
  • completes all assigned prep work
  • removes trash and garbage to dumpster area
  • washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors
  • cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles
  • assembles, maintains and breaks down the dish machine
