Job Requirements

  • Maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time while performing with quality and accuracy
  • Withstand exposure to possible food allergens including but not limited to
  • meats, fish, nuts, dairy, and oils
  • Withstand exposure to and work with cleaning chemicals
  • Lift up to 80lbs constantly
  • Lift from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently
  • Twist, reach, and bend frequently
  • Listen to and comprehend instructions from leads, managers, and coworkers over background restaurant and equipment noise constantly
  • Frequently wash hands
  • Adhere to schedule and be on time for shifts
  • Adhere to company uniform and appearance policy

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year experience in related industry
  • Good communication skills
  • Friendly and polite demeanor
  • Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Team player

Job Duties

  • Clean the cooking areas, utensils, and equipment with cleaning chemicals in the kitchen as necessary
  • Safely handle food prep equipment such as dish machine, and knives. Wash and sorts trays, utensils, and equipment parts as needed
  • Empty trash cans and take out garbage
  • Light stocking
  • Sweep, mop, and keep sidewalks clear of snow and ice (weather depending) and general cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Receive truck orders, verify correct inventory, and put all items away in an organized manner. Put away delivery orders according to food hierarchy
  • Practice safe food handling and cleanliness at all times
  • Assist with food prep and adhere to company recipes and production levels
