Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot scrubbing stations, and garbage compactors
  • Wash and sanitize kitchen areas, storage rooms, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
  • Receive deliveries, properly store perishable goods, and rotate inventory
  • Ensure clean dishware is stored appropriately
  • Use detergent, disinfectants, and rinse chemicals in triple-compartment sinks to clean dishes
  • Inspect, stack clean items, send dirty items back for re-cleaning, and apply hot water sprays to loosen food residues
  • Sort, soak, wash, and re-wash silverware
  • Separate containers for dirty items
  • Empty trash and maintain garbage disposal areas
  • Clean and mop floors in assigned departments
  • Dispose of glass in proper containers
  • Break down cardboard and other recyclables and place them in recycling containers
  • Follow company safety policies and report accidents, injuries, and hazardous conditions
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Protect company property
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals
  • Lift, move, transport, push, drag, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods
  • Reach above head and below knees, bend, twist waist, drag, and stoop as required
  • Perform other reasonable job tasks as assigned by supervisors
