Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one (1) year job related experience preferred
  • ability to perform dishwashing and janitorial duties
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements
  • ability to maintain accurate equipment logs and sanitation records
  • capacity to assist with food preparation and plating when necessary
  • compliance with occupational health and safety regulations including use of PPE
  • ability to work in a team environment and follow company principles of service
  • willingness to perform other dining services duties as assigned
  • must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Covid-19 and Influenza vaccinations may be required according to laws

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one (1) year job related experience preferred
  • CPR certificate and First Aid certificate may be required
  • ServSafe Food Handler Card may be required
  • Local Health Department Food Handler Card may be required
  • good written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple priorities
  • good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Set-up and maintain the dish and pot washing areas
  • operate dish machine(s) according to manufacturer instruction
  • perform dishwashing tasks to properly wash and sanitize all dishes and china, silverware, glassware, utensils, and cookware
  • maintain accurate dish machine and pot and pan sink temperature and sanitation logs and report any issues promptly
  • maintain accurate equipment logs and report any issues promptly
  • complete assigned kitchen cleaning duties and ensure accuracy of daily and weekly cleaning logs
  • clean assigned kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, fryers, microwaves, mixers, slicers, refrigerators, freezers, worktables, prep sinks, ice makers, coffee machines, hoods and ventilation screens
  • perform assigned janitorial duties including sweeping work areas, mopping floors, washing walls and ceilings, sanitizing production areas, and emptying trash
  • assist with food preparation and plating when necessary
  • maintain the correct storage of all cookware, china, glassware, and utensils
  • maintain the correct storage of all janitorial and chemical supplies
  • assist in the receiving, storage, dating, labeling, and rotation of food and non-food supplies
  • comply with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and Risk Management programs and policies
  • clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to company standards
  • bus and reset tables
  • take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
  • prepare and serve light meals as per standardized recipes and menus
  • participate and commit to working toward team goals
  • demonstrate team member credo in daily interactions
  • commit to serving residents and guests through principles of service
  • contribute to engagement programs for residents and team members
  • attend regular meetings
  • maintain compliance in assigned required training
  • perform other duties as assigned
