Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- strong work ethic with a reliable, positive attitude and willingness to support the team
- good organizational skills with strong time-management and the ability to stay efficient in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- ability to follow standard kitchen operating procedures, cleaning techniques, and equipment guidelines
- knowledge of basic safety standards and a commitment to complying with all food safety and sanitation procedures
- attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workspace
- team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist with additional tasks across the kitchen when needed
- ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- food handler certification as required by state and local agencies
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is advantageous
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- good communication skills
- food handler certification as required by state and local regulations
Job Duties
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure constant availability of clean service ware
- maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dish room throughout service, ensuring equipment and work areas remain orderly
- clean and care for kitchen machines and appliances such as mixers, pots, pans, sheet trays, and other cookware
- support kitchen readiness by cleaning cook stations and preparing the back-of-house for the next shift
- assist with receiving, unloading, and properly storing deliveries as needed
- sweep and mop kitchen and dish room floors, especially when spills or breakages occur, maintaining a safe work environment
- remove trash, recycle appropriately, and rinse out garbage cans to uphold sanitation standards
