- Kitchen assistant experience in a long term care environment
- ability to work evening shifts including rotating weekends
- knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
- ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- basic literacy and numeracy skills for administrative tasks
- commitment to maintaining clean and sanitary work environment

Job Duties
- Clean and prepare kitchen area and dishes
- assist cooks in preparation and delivery of meals
- perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms and reports
- ensure all food procedures are followed according to established policies
- assist in preparation of meals as per planned menus
- assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing
- serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
