Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- Must be able to see minute objects at arm’s length to read meters and controls
- Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, crawl, reach and retrieve items from above head
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs including serving trays and small equipment
- Must be able to stand and travel up to 300 feet regularly throughout the shift
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and pay attention to sound and sight details in noisy environments
- Must handle china, glassware and fragile equipment with care to minimize breakage

Job Duties
- Gathers all dirty dishware from tubs brought to the dish room, rinses and stacks in dishracks always clearing dishes of leftovers and trash
- Loads full dishracks on belt and ensures correct placement according to machine operation instructions
- Operates automatic dishwashing machine using controls as instructed
- Loads dishwashing solutions into automatic dispensers and regulates detergent and chemical output
- Unloads clean dishes from racks after washing, inspects for cleanliness and stacks in specified carts and shelves
- Manually scrubs pots, pans and other kitchen equipment that cannot be washed automatically
- Manually polishes silver, stainless steel and pewter used in food service
- Maintains dishwashing equipment in good working order in accordance with manufacturer instructions
- Keeps dish room clean and orderly by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash and wiping counters
- Mops kitchen floors and cleans all kitchen work surfaces as scheduled
- Empties trash cans from kitchen work areas and clears loading dock and entrance areas
- Performs other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management
