Job Requirements
- Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent backup of dirty dishes, glasses, etc.
- Return and restock all items to appropriate area after washing and sanitizing
- Ability to read a thermometer
- Maintain dishwashing machinery and communicate any potential issues to management
- Identify cleaning supplies and notify management when running low
- Assist with general cleanliness of back of house and restrooms
- Empty garbage and keep garbage areas clean and covered
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment including employee handbook
- Get along well with others and be a team player
- Other duties will be assigned as needed
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read a thermometer
- Good communication skills to interact with team members effectively
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitization procedures
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Prior experience in a restaurant or similar environment is a plus
- Basic food preparation skills are an advantage
Job Duties
- Clean cooking stations and equipment to help expedite service
- Clean and maintain FOH areas and curbside if requested by supervisor
- Keep open communication with BOH team and FOH team
- Maintain cleanliness of any BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Assist in other BOH areas as needed including basic food preparation
- Operate and utilize dish machine and cleaning supplies
- Wash, sanitize and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment and other items placed in the dish area or as requested by Management and Staff
- Be available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts including weekends
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
