Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability to work in high and low temperature environments
  • Ability to stand and exert motion for up to four consecutive hours
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb, walk, see clearly, and hear well
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and push carts weighing up to 250 lbs
  • Ability to carry and lift food trays/items up to 30 lbs frequently
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and perform repetitive motions

Job Qualifications

  • Six months dish washing experience in a restaurant setting preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of chemicals, sanitation, and ware washing techniques and procedures
  • High school level math skills
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene and follow health agency rules and requirements

Job Duties

  • Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans in restaurant
  • Ensures that the restaurant has requisite amounts of clean items to open shifts properly
  • Ensures sufficient amounts of carts for transporting dirty items
  • Maintains cleanliness and order of storage rooms and kitchen areas
  • Communicates and cooperates effectively with kitchen and dining room staff
  • Adheres to health and sanitation standards
  • Supports kitchen team by timely removal and cleaning of utensils and equipment
