Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Ability to work in high and low temperature environments
- Ability to stand and exert motion for up to four consecutive hours
- Ability to bend, squat, climb, walk, see clearly, and hear well
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and push carts weighing up to 250 lbs
- Ability to carry and lift food trays/items up to 30 lbs frequently
- Ability to work in confined spaces and perform repetitive motions
Job Qualifications
- Six months dish washing experience in a restaurant setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Knowledge of chemicals, sanitation, and ware washing techniques and procedures
- High school level math skills
- Ability to maintain personal hygiene and follow health agency rules and requirements
Job Duties
- Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans in restaurant
- Ensures that the restaurant has requisite amounts of clean items to open shifts properly
- Ensures sufficient amounts of carts for transporting dirty items
- Maintains cleanliness and order of storage rooms and kitchen areas
- Communicates and cooperates effectively with kitchen and dining room staff
- Adheres to health and sanitation standards
- Supports kitchen team by timely removal and cleaning of utensils and equipment
