Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Must meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
- Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited during employment
- Must adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- This is a temporary position limited to 28 weeks of shipboard work
- Must participate in emergency and safety training essential to ship operations
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
- Successful candidates work well under pressure and maintain composure with a positive attitude
- Previous experience in hospitality is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
- Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
- Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
- Create genuine rapport with guests and cater to all galley requests in an efficient manner
- Perform other functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, assisting during special events like afternoon teas and snacks, and participating in evening entertainment
