Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen or hospitality role preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment
- Strong manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment such as knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers
- Physical strength to push, pull, and move service carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs
- Ability to perform constant physical activities including twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying items
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining personal hygiene and appearance standards
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current food handler card
- Knowledge of service ware maintenance to enhance guest experience
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen dish machine following hotel and health department standards
- Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe product application in the hotel
Job Duties
- Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for dish or pot machine processing
- Quickly wash all ware and replace in designated storage areas
- Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled according to hotel standards
- Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans promptly for kitchen use
- Perform general cleaning tasks with standard hotel cleaning products to uphold health standards
- Clean and dry floors to prevent slip and fall accidents
- Separate linen from other debris
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures and rules
- Know and practice department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with team member handbook
- Perform related duties as requested by management
- Assist other kitchen personnel when needed
