Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar kitchen or hospitality role preferred
  • Ability to operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment
  • Strong manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment such as knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers
  • Physical strength to push, pull, and move service carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to perform constant physical activities including twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and carrying items
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to maintaining personal hygiene and appearance standards

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current food handler card
  • Knowledge of service ware maintenance to enhance guest experience
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen dish machine following hotel and health department standards
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe product application in the hotel

Job Duties

  • Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for dish or pot machine processing
  • Quickly wash all ware and replace in designated storage areas
  • Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled according to hotel standards
  • Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans promptly for kitchen use
  • Perform general cleaning tasks with standard hotel cleaning products to uphold health standards
  • Clean and dry floors to prevent slip and fall accidents
  • Separate linen from other debris
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know and practice department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with team member handbook
  • Perform related duties as requested by management
  • Assist other kitchen personnel when needed
