Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous hospitality or kitchen experience beneficial but not required
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks
- Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to adapt to a temporary employment setting for 28 weeks
- No consumption of alcohol while onboard as per company policy
Job Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Capable of meeting moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- Willingness to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the galley including cutlery, glassware, dishes, and surrounding areas
- Receive and carry food deliveries which require lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs
- Ensure that the commercial dishwasher is operating properly and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management
- Creating genuine rapport with our guests and catering to all galley requests in an efficient manner
- Perform additional duties such as greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events including afternoon teas and snacks
- Participate in evening entertainment activities
- Maintain compliance with hygiene and safety standards onboard
