Job Duties
- Scrubbing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
- using industrial dishwashers or washing items by hand when necessary
- keeping sinks, dish racks, and workstations clean and organized
- wiping down countertops and kitchen surfaces
- sweeping and mopping floors to maintain hygiene
- properly stacking and storing cleaned dishes, utensils, and cookware in their designated areas
- emptying trash cans, compost bins, and recycling containers regularly
- following restaurant waste disposal guidelines
- wearing gloves, aprons, and other protective gear as required
- ensuring dishes meet sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination
- reporting any broken equipment or safety hazards to management
- working quickly and efficiently, especially during busy hours
- staying organized to ensure smooth workflow for the kitchen team
