Job Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and company procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in kitchen stewarding or similar role preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety

Job Duties

  • Transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware
  • Sort soiled ware promptly and carefully for dish machine processing
  • Wash all ware quickly and replace in designated storage areas
  • Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards
  • Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
  • Clean and dry floors to prevent slip and fall accidents
  • Separate linen from other debris
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions to management
  • Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per team member handbook
  • Perform related duties as requested by management
  • Assist other kitchen personnel when needed
