Job Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 1 to 2 years experience as a dishwasher in a professional kitchen
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours or more
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English
  • Must have an active email address and regularly check it
  • Must be proactive with organization, attention to detail, and time management
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and hard-working
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Must be a team player with a can-do attitude
  • Must arrive enthusiastic, friendly, and well-groomed in proper dress code
  • Must take direction well and ask questions
  • Valid California Food Handlers Certificate

Job Duties

  • Clean, wash, and dry all service ware, cookware, and equipment according to protocol
  • Ensure proper use of dishwashing equipment
  • Return all service ware, cookware, and equipment to the correct location in the kitchen or warehouse
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the dish area
  • Assist with cleaning ovens, floors, backsplashes, and bathrooms
  • Unload catering equipment and boxes from company vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Help load out events as assigned
  • Monitor proper sorting of landfill, recycling, and compost and dispose of company refuse according to protocol
  • Communicate actively with coworkers to ensure proper cleaning and storage protocols
  • Check in with the supervisor at the end of shift to report progress
  • Follow personal safety and food safety protocols at all times
