Job Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • 1 - 2 years experience as a dishwasher in a professional kitchen
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hours or more
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, and speak basic English
  • Must have an active email address that is checked regularly
  • Must be proactive with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and time management
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and hard-working
  • Must be able to work independently without constant supervision
  • Must be a team player with a can do attitude
  • Must arrive enthusiastic, friendly, and well-groomed
  • Must take direction well and not be afraid to ask questions
  • Valid California Food Handlers Certificate

Job Duties

  • Clean, wash, and dry all service ware, cookware, and equipment according to protocol
  • Return all service ware, cookware, and equipment to the correct location in the kitchen or warehouse
  • Keep the dish area clean, organized, and safe
  • Assist with the cleaning of ovens, floors, backsplashes, bathrooms, etc. as assigned
  • Unload catering equipment and boxes from company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner as assigned
  • Help load out events as assigned
  • Monitor the proper sorting of landfill, recycling & compost
  • Properly dispose of company refuse in large American Industrial Center dumpsters according to building protocol
  • Actively communicate with coworkers to ensure proper cleaning and storage protocols
  • Check in with the supervisor at the end of shift to communicate what was and was not finished during the shift
  • Always follow personal safety and food safety protocols
  • Follow training manual
