Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of previous dishwashing experience preferred but not required
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods
  • availability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • must comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
  • reliable and punctual
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous dishwashing or kitchen sanitation experience preferred
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards

Job Duties

  • Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in dishwashing machine racks or on conveyor
  • washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures
  • polishes silverware using burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel or hand cloth
  • ensures compliance with safety procedures
  • maintains temperatures and chemical levels as per standards
  • keeps dish area orderly and safe
  • sweeps and mops kitchen floors
  • cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators and food prep surfaces
  • removes trash and cleans garbage cans
  • transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • helps load and unload supplies and products
  • performs other duties as assigned
