Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of porter experience in a high-volume cafe environment preferred
- DOH accreditation or Safe Serve Certified highly recommended
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures diligently

Job Duties
- Contributes positively to the team environment, working cohesively with team to deliver exceptional experiences to locals
- Washes pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses, and traps
- Maintains neat appearance of working areas and cleaning equipment storage areas
- Ensures store is prepped with tools needed to operate effectively and cleaning station is ready
- Works closely with front of house teammates to ensure efficient bussing of tables for quick turns
- Fast, efficient and thorough cleaning of all cooking and eating tools
- Builds relationships and works cohesively with back and front of house teams
- Communicates effectively across all levels in café to ensure responsibilities are executed
- Follows all procedures and meets food hygiene regulations
- Receives and unpacks all kitchen and food deliveries
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors
- Cleans garbage cans and waste barrels
- Washes worktables, walls and refrigerators
- Operates dishwashing machine according to procedures
- Performs general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, emptying bins, tidying stations, and checking and cleaning bathrooms
- Maintains grooming and uniform guidelines
