Job Requirements

  • Six months dishwashing experience in restaurant setting preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • High school level math
  • Knowledge of chemicals, sanitation and ware washing techniques
  • Ability to interact and cooperate with coworkers
  • Maintain good personal hygiene
  • Capable of working in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Physical ability to bend, squat, climb, walk, see and hear well
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and push 250 lbs carts
  • Ability to carry and lift food trays/items up to 30 lbs
  • Willingness to perform repetitive motion tasks
  • No computer skills required
  • No certificates or licenses required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans in restaurant
  • Ensure restaurant has requisite amounts of clean kitchenware to open shifts
  • Manage availability of carts to transport dirty items
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of storage rooms and kitchen areas
  • Interact courteously with kitchen and dining room staff
  • Practice good personal hygiene according to health agency rules
  • Dispose of waste and chemicals safely and responsibly
