Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- current Food Handler Card
- previous experience in kitchen or hospitality environment preferred
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy items up to 100 lbs
- capable of working varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of service ware maintenance to enhance guest experience
- ability to operate commercial kitchen dish machines per standards
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to use kitchen equipment including knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs and slicers
- physical strength and stamina for high activity and heavy lifting
- ability to push and pull service carts weighing up to 100 lbs
- understanding of safety and security procedures
Job Duties
- Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware for proper washing
- quickly wash all ware and replace in storage areas
- keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water
- clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely
- perform routine cleaning tasks with standard hotel cleaning products
- clean and dry floors to prevent accidents
- separate linen from other debris
- adhere to all company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures and rules
- know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, and property damage to management
- maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by management
- assist other kitchen personnel when needed
