Job Qualifications
- 1+ year experience working in a kitchen or hospitality setting preferred but not required
- food handler’s permit required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- previous experience working with commercial dishwashing equipment is a plus
- experience in high-volume service environments is a plus
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize all dishware, utensils, glassware, and kitchen tools using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed
- maintain a clean and organized dish station and kitchen workspace
- properly sort, store, and transport clean dishes to designated locations
- assist with receiving and stocking kitchen deliveries ensuring proper storage and rotation of food and supplies
- remove trash and recyclables regularly maintaining cleanliness and organization in waste disposal areas
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations including proper chemical usage
- assist kitchen staff with basic prep work such as washing produce, peeling vegetables, or portioning ingredients
- support front-of-house staff by ensuring glassware and bar tools are clean and available during service
- work efficiently to keep up with a fast-paced kitchen and bar environment especially during peak service hours
- maintain cleanliness of floors, drains, sinks, and general back-of-house workspaces
- assist in deep cleaning tasks including scrubbing equipment, cleaning walls, and detailing surfaces
- ensure kitchen linens, towels, and rags are properly laundered and stored
- collaborate with the entire team to support smooth kitchen and bar operations
- be prepared to work in indoor and outdoor environments supporting special events, catering functions, and large-scale service when needed
