Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years previous dishwashing experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time, including Fridays through Sundays with varying hours
- Willingness to comply with safety and sanitation protocols
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and order in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Capability to lift and move supplies and equipment
- Ability to perform manual tasks including scrubbing, polishing, sweeping, and mopping
- Must be able to work at the Getty Villa location in Malibu, CA
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 2 years dishwashing experience preferred
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to kitchen and cleaning
- Ability to work efficiently under varying schedules
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, utensils, and kitchen areas
- Polishes silverware using appropriate machines and manual methods to maintain shine and cleanliness
- Maintains compliance with safety procedures and sanitation standards
- Monitors and adjusts temperatures and chemical levels as per guidelines
- Keeps dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces
- Removes trash and cleans garbage containers
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Helps load and unload supplies and products
- Performs other duties as assigned
