Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Work experience as a dishwasher preferred, but not required
- Servsafe food handler's certification required
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks
- Time management skills
- Availability to work shifts, weekends, and evenings
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects between 20-50 pounds
- Capability to work in a hot, steamy environment
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Punctuality and reliability
Job Qualifications
- Work experience as a dishwasher preferred, but not required
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
- Servsafe food handler's certification required
- General understanding of basic food preparation tasks
- Eagerness to perform daily and to learn new skills to progress in a fine dining atmosphere
- Availability and willingness to open and close the restaurant regularly and meet and exceed expectations on open and close routines and tasks
Job Duties
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dishwashing machines
- Wash specific items by hand such as wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china
- Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
- Maintain cleaning supplies stock and place orders when necessary
- Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical or performance issues
- Remove garbage regularly
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
