Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Work experience as a dishwasher preferred, but not required
  • Servsafe food handler's certification required
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks
  • Time management skills
  • Availability to work shifts, weekends, and evenings
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects between 20-50 pounds
  • Capability to work in a hot, steamy environment
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Punctuality and reliability

  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
  • Time management skills
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules
  • Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings

  • General understanding of basic food preparation tasks
  • Eagerness to perform daily and to learn new skills to progress in a fine dining atmosphere
  • Availability and willingness to open and close the restaurant regularly and meet and exceed expectations on open and close routines and tasks

Job Duties

  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines
  • Wash specific items by hand such as wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china
  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock and place orders when necessary
  • Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical or performance issues
  • Remove garbage regularly
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
