Job Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- one year job related experience preferred
- ability to operate dish machines and maintain sanitation logs
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to perform janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning kitchen equipment
- compliance with occupational health and safety programs
- ability to follow safety protocols including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
- willingness to perform duties in dining services when assigned
- ability to attend regular team meetings and complete required training
- pass drug screening and health-related tests as required by Sunrise policies
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED

- CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate may be required
- ServSafe Food Handler Card may be required
- Local Health Department Food Handler Card may be required

Job Duties
- Set-up and maintain the dish and pot washing areas
- operate dish machine(s) according to manufacturer instruction
- perform dishwashing tasks to properly wash and sanitize all dishes and china, silverware, glassware, utensils, and cookware
- maintain accurate dish machine and pot and pan sink temperature and sanitation logs and report any issues promptly
- complete assigned kitchen cleaning duties and ensure accuracy of daily and weekly cleaning logs
- clean assigned kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, fryers, microwaves, mixers, slicers, refrigerators, freezers, worktables, prep sinks, ice makers, coffee machines, hoods and ventilation screens
- perform assigned janitorial duties including sweeping work areas, mopping floors, washing walls and ceilings, sanitizing production areas, and emptying trash
- assist with food preparation and plating when necessary
- maintain correct storage of all cookware, china, glassware, and utensils
- maintain correct storage of all janitorial and chemical supplies
- assist in receiving, storage, dating, labeling, and rotation of food and non-food supplies
- comply with occupational health and safety and Risk Management programs and policies, adhere to safety rules including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout procedures
- clean and maintain dining room and bistro per company guidelines
- bus and reset tables
- take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
- prepare and serve light meals in accordance with standardized recipes and menus
- participate and commit to working toward team goals
- demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
- contribute to engagement programs for residents and team members
- attend regular meetings including Town Hall, Department Team, and Cross Over meetings as directed
- maintain compliance in assigned training required by authorities
- perform other duties as assigned
