Job Qualifications
- 1+ year experience working in a kitchen or hospitality setting preferred but not required
- Food Handler's Permit required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Previous experience working with commercial dishwashing equipment is a plus
- Experience in high-volume service environments is a plus
- Basic understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper guidelines
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize all dishware, utensils, glassware, and kitchen tools using a commercial dishwashing machine or by hand as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized dish station and kitchen workspace
- Properly sort, store, and transport clean dishes to their designated locations
- Assist with receiving and stocking kitchen deliveries, ensuring proper storage and rotation of food and supplies
- Remove trash and recyclables regularly, maintaining cleanliness and organization in waste disposal areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper chemical usage for cleaning and sanitizing
- Assist kitchen staff with basic prep work as needed, such as washing produce, peeling vegetables, or portioning ingredients
