Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • at least one year of previous dishwasher experience in a high-end dining establishment
  • current local or state food handler’s training certification
  • physical and mental health suitable for job requirements
  • ability to stand and walk up to eight hours per shift
  • able to carry up to 100 lbs and exert up to 150 lbs of force
  • willing to work all scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays
  • reliable transportation
  • ability to follow instructions and wear required uniform
  • basic math skills
  • ability to communicate in English
  • able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • some college or culinary education beneficial
  • at least one year experience as a dishwasher in a high-end dining establishment
  • capable of reading scales
  • current local or state food handler’s training certification
  • basic computer and calculator familiarity
  • ability to communicate in English
  • basic math proficiency

Job Duties

  • Consistently meet Lawry’s standards, providing quality and professionalism
  • comply with employment policies including accurate records and appropriate behavior
  • maintain company property and assets
  • adhere to uniform and appearance standards
  • maintain proper food handling and sanitation
  • demonstrate safe work habits especially with knife handling
  • wipe up spills to keep floors clean and dry
  • keep work areas free of hazards
  • sort and rinse dirty kitchenware
  • prepare and operate dish machine
  • restock dishes and glassware
  • rewash soiled dishes
  • clean work area at shift end
  • put away food and kitchen purchases
  • maintain kitchen floors during shifts
  • perform extra cleaning tasks
  • remove trash to dumpster
  • maintain outside trash area and loading dock
  • polish and burnish silverware
  • fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning solutions
  • sweep and mop floors
  • clean general restaurant and restrooms
  • perform minor maintenance
  • report dish machine cycle issues
  • follow hygiene practices
  • assist coworkers as needed
  • communicate in English
  • demonstrate knowledge of Lawry’s restaurant operations
  • cooperate with coworkers and management
  • follow uniform and work schedule policies
  • assume other duties during off-peak hours
  • attend mandatory meetings and training
  • report damage and unsafe conditions immediately
