Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen environment preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • strong work ethic and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Prior dishwasher or kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • must be dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety

Job Duties

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using both machine and manual cleaning methods
  • ensure all dishes are properly stored in designated areas
  • maintain cleanliness of dish room, kitchen floors, trash areas, and loading dock
  • dispose of trash and recycling following hotel guidelines and safety standards
  • assist with basic food prep or kitchen tasks as directed by chefs or supervisors
  • follow all sanitation, health, and food safety regulations
  • operate dishwashing equipment safely and report any malfunctions immediately
  • support kitchen team by keeping areas stocked, organized, and clean
  • assist with receiving and organizing deliveries when needed
  • uphold Sonesta's Culture of Caring through teamwork, respect, and a positive attitude
