Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • ability to work late night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM and 3 AM
  • works assigned scheduled shifts
  • food handling certificate required
  • fluent in English
  • able to speak, read, write
  • able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 lbs to waist level
  • able to move items up to 50 lbs for distances of up to 25 feet
  • remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
  • able to tolerate prolonged exposure to cold and hot temps below 40 F and above 140 F
  • able to hear, understand, and respond to requests in a loud environment
  • able to tolerate exposure to cleaning agents and chemicals several times throughout shift
  • satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers

Job Duties

  • Live and embrace American Social vision and core values
  • report to work on time and prepared for the shift
  • follow all image and appearance standards
  • monitor product supply and replenish stock when necessary
  • clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and storage racks
  • communicate with chefs and managers regarding low product levels and equipment problems
  • remove dishes, glassware, and silverware from bus tubs to prepare for cleaning
  • communicate with other team members to prioritize cleaning tasks
  • ensure that dishes, glassware, silverware, and kitchen items are clean and sanitized
  • sort clean silverware, glassware, and dishes
  • ensure that clean supplies are available at all times
  • organize and straighten dry storage and walk-in refrigerator
  • clean and sanitize work stations, utensils, floors, floor mats, dumpsters, and equipment
  • transport boxes and trash bags from kitchen and dish area to dumpsters
  • distribute trash cans to kitchen and dish area
  • clean and sanitize restrooms and other areas
  • assist chef in portioning, prepping, and cooking as needed
  • assist other employees as needed
  • demonstrate a helpful and positive attitude at all times to guests and employees
  • understand and adhere to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures
  • provide complete and timely communication to other employees throughout the shift
  • be prepared to conduct weekly maintenance duties
  • complete all assigned tasks and duties requested by managers
