Job Requirements
- meets all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
- holds a food handler's card where required
- adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in dishwashing or food service preferred
- ability to operate dishwashing equipment safely
- strong attention to detail
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic English proficiency to read, write, speak, and understand
Job Duties
- Operate the dish machine to wash dishes, glasses, cups, trays, silverware, and foodservice equipment
- ensure all cleaned items meet the service standards required for the dining services program
- set up and clean dish machine area
- check temperatures and soap dispensing levels
- pour beverages per resident choice as residents are seated
- serve meals in courses, removing soiled dishes from one course before providing the next
- assist in bussing tables, changing table linens, and resetting tables following meal service
